This is the first picture I made using my new Wacom tablet.
Yes it may be extremely amateurish but I am still amazed with the tablet! I have no reason to need this but I *wanted* one — I guess birthdays are good for gadget-fiends like me. 🙂 Plus, I went for a walk today, making sure to vigorously move the arms, in order to charge the supercool arm-motion-powered watch Jen got me!
Once I get my nano back in working condition I will be SET!

I just read a great article on Slate about Lawrence Wilkerson (Colin Powell’s chief of staff from 2002 to 2005), as well as the ENTIRE 30-page transcript of a speech he gave. I found it fascinating, riveting, and funny.

I’m happy to announce that I finally got off my ass and upgraded my gallery software, so no more dealing with Mig and its inability to scale high-res pics. Yay! I felt I had to do that before organizing my Turkey pics. I also put pics from Jack’s wedding and my first day back at work up there, too, and made my past albums more presentable.
I will post more about the trip to Turkey when I can. I’m frankly exhausted. I think I did a hell of a lot on my sabbatical, and now I need to rest!
